Increasing your average order value (AOV) is a breeze with the Spend-Based Discount feature in wiseCampaign. This module allows you to reward customers with a discount once their subtotal reaches a specific threshold.
Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your first spend-based offer.
Step 1: Access the Discount Manager
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and go to wiseCampaign > Discount Manager. You will see the main dashboard where all your active discounts are listed. Click the Add New button at the top to begin.

Step 2: Select the Discount Type
A popup will appear presenting various discount strategies. Select the Based on total spend card and click the Create button.

Step 3: Configure Discount Details & Rules
On the configuration page, you will need to fill out the following sections:

Discount Details
- Discount Name: Give your campaign a clear name (e.g., “Summer Spender Reward”).
- Discount Type: This will be pre-selected as “Based on total spend.”
Discount Rules
- Required Spend: Enter the minimum amount the customer must have in their cart to trigger the discount.
- Discount: Choose between a Percentage discount (e.g., 20% off) or a Fixed discount (e.g., $10 off).
- Discount Amount: Enter the value of the discount.
Step 4: Set Conditions & Display Rules
Fine-tune how and where your discount appears to customers:
- Applies To: Choose whether this discount applies to all products, specific categories, or individual items.
- Availability: Set specific dates if this is a limited-time offer.
- Sale Badge: Enable the “Show sale badge on products” toggle to display a custom badge on the shop page.
- Product Page Content: Use the text editor to create a custom message that will appear on the product page.
- Cart Notice: Enable this to show a notification in the cart when the user is close to or has reached the required spend.
Once finished, click Save Discount.

Shop Page Visibility

When the Sale Badge is enabled, customers will see a clear call-to-action on the product thumbnails (e.g., “BUY 100 GET 20% DISCOUNT”), encouraging them to click and learn more.
Product Details Page

On the individual product page, your custom Product Page Content will appear in a prominent notice box. This serves as a final nudge to help the customer reach the spending goal.
